Leukopak
Leukopaks are specialized leukapheresis (sometimes spelled leukopheresis) products, sourced from healthy, consenting individuals through the use of the Spectra Optia® Apheresis System, adhering to protocols approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Typically, Leukopaks comprise a mix of cell types: approximately 50% T cells, 20% monocytes, 10% B cells, 10% NK cells, 3% granulocytes, and 3% hematocrit.
Benefits of Leukopheresis
leukapheresis is recognized for its efficacy in procuring substantial quantities of mononuclear cells (MNCs) from a single donor, surpassing methods like venipuncture collection or buffy coat isolation. The use of Leukopaks enhances the consistency and scalability of research studies by reducing the variability often seen between different donors. AllCells provides Leukopaks and a range of individual cell types derived from leukopheresis for diverse research needs.
Whole Blood
Composition of Whole Human Peripheral Blood
The composition of whole human peripheral blood includes red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. These whole blood products are meticulously sourced through venipuncture from certified donors, in strict adherence to protocols approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB), without additional enrichment processes. The product range also encompasses non-cellular derivatives like serum and plasma products, as well as isolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).
